NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Mocha Review

"NYX Powder Blush is a highly pigmented silky powder blush that combines rich color with long-lasting wear as it delivers a healthy, natural glow to the skin."

I'd heard many good things about these blushes and finally decided I'd pick one up myself. For only $5.99 at Ulta, I figured I wouldn't be losing too much if I decided I didn't like it. To add to the bargain steal, Nyx can commonly be found on a "buy one, get one half off" sale. Naturally, I had to take advantage of the sale and pick one up another blush in the color Cinnamon. The pigmentation of Cinnamon was amazing, but I sadly realized that coral wasn't really for me so my review will be on this color.

Mocha is a beautiful rosy pink. I wouldn't necessarily call it a matte shade, but it doesn't seem to be a sheen either. I guess I'd call it a matte with a slight hint of sheen. The pigmentation is amazing, as I mentioned earlier, but I need to apply it with a light hand otherwise I look like a clown. I'd consider this blush a very nice color for medium-dark skin tones, although it'd certainly flatter almost anyone. I especially love this color because it adds a nice glow to my skin and adds a flattering flush to my face.

An extra plus, would be the application. This blush applies evenly and is definitely buildable. I'd say staying power is average. I normally wear it to school, and usually notice it fades off around lunch time. TBH, though, by lunch I'm so aggravated and ready to go home that I don't care lol.

Overall, these are my favorite blushes. They're affordable, last decently, apply well, and NYX has a large range of shades. My only real complaint is that most of these blushes represent different shads of rosy pinks and I'd like to see some more contrast in shades.
