"The first choice in luxury lipcolor, Colour Riche is deep, luminous color in a weightless, creamy texture. Dewy, botanical formulations moisturize, condition, and last for hours without flaking or splitting."
This is my first L'Oreal lipstick to try out and for $7.99(at Ulta), I'd say this is an excellent lipstick!
I really adore the packaging, it makes me feel like I just splurged on a high-end product. Plus it's very efficient; I never need to worry about the cap falling off. Because the cap is much higher than the actual lipstick, I enjoy not worrying about crushing the top of the lipstick with the cap.
Just as the description states, the lipstick has a beautifully creamy texture that resembles Mac's lipsticks. It just glides onto my lips with complete and total ease and feels completely natural and weightless on my lips, which is a major plus.
I apologize for the swatch, the lighting is off and my hand is discolored.
The color itself is pretty accurate though. The top swatch is one swipe and
the second swatch is the color once built up.
The color itself is absolutely beautiful. A subtle, semi-opaque pink tone with a sheen finish. One swatch of this and I'm ready for the day. Once the lipstick sets in to your lips, it dries to a beautiful and natural finish as most of the sheen fades. Don't get me wrong though; the color is beautiful when first applied too.
I will honestly say that one of the most surprising qualities of this lipstick is the staying-power. I actually wore this color yesterday and it remained on my lips for over 10 hours with only one touch-up around the middle of the day.
The only thing that has bothered me about this lipstick would be the smell. It reminds me of my mom's old lipsticks. The smell fades away pretty quickly, so it's not a major issue.
The only semi-major complaint I have with L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolours would be that the collection doesn't have many lively colors. Check out all of their colors here to see their selection.
By the way, I apologize for these pictures, it was really difficult to get decent lighting. :(
